ON MAC


The computer

  • Twinmotion is installed on a physical machine (Please note that Twinmotion isn’t officially supported on virtual machines)
  • Your computer fits the minimum requirement (detailed configuration here)
  • The system is up to date
  • You have administrator privileges on your account
  • In the System Preferences, Security and Privacy tab, check if the FileVault and Firewall are on. If they are, exclude Twinmotion from them.

The Twinmotion files

  • They’re stored in local, not on a synchronised or shared folder
  • The files and the path where the files are stored don’t contain specific characters (ü, ?, &, +, %, …)


To test

  • Try to open the Demo file from the File menu > Demo scene > Material room
  • Move the items of your User Library and open Twinmotion again (Original path : Macintosh HD/Users/<user>/Documents/Twinmotion201x/UserLibrary)
  • If the FileVault and Firewall were activated during the install, reinstall Twinmotion with these ones disabled

ON WINDOWS


The computer

  • Twinmotion is installed on a physical machine (Please note that Twinmotion isn’t officially supported on virtual machines)

  • The system is up to date
  • You have administrator privileges on your account


The graphic card


The antivirus and firewall

  • Allow Twinmotion in your firewall or proxy
  • Exclude the following path of your antivirus :
    • C:\Program Files\Twinmotion 201x  
    • C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Abvent
    • C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Twinmotion 201x
    • C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\UnrealEngine
    • C:\Users\<user>\Documents\Twinmotion201x

  • Run Twinmotion with a right click > Run as administrator
  • Try to open the Demo file from the File menu > Demo scene > Material room
  • Move the items of your User Library and open Twinmotion again (Original path : C:\Users\<user>\Documents\Twinmotion201x)
  • If the antivirus and Firewall were activated during the install, reinstall Twinmotion with these ones disabled
